Located on the north bank of the River Tay Dundee was traditionally known as the City of jute jam, and journalism.  Today Dundee is more known as 'One City, Many Discoveries' to reflect the city’s contribution to scientific excellence.  The RSS Discovery, which is the Antarctic exploration vessel of Robert Scott, is moored in the harbour and The Tay Rail Bridge are just two of the defining images of the City.

Housing in Dundee is made up of traditional tenements and new build properties located on new waterfront developments.
